The principles describe the characteristics of the patient-centered medical home, including the focus on quality and safety as hallmarks, and has been endorsed by 22 physician organizations.

“Dr. Sepúlveda brings a broad view of the issues facing the health care system and public health. He has been a leader in directing IBM’s role as a change agent in health care and working directly with physicians.” said Christine Cassel, MD, President and CEO of the American Board of Internal Medicine and ABIM Foundation. “He is a smart, results-oriented professional with clear ideas on how help advance the Foundation’s mission and I welcome him to our Board.”
