Jessica Perlo, MPH

Jessica Perlo, MPH, is Executive Vice President of the ABIM Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s strategy to advance medical professionalism and strengthen trust in health care. She oversees the Foundation’s strategic initiatives, grantmaking, national convenings, and partnerships, bringing together leaders across medicine, health systems, philanthropy, academia, and patient advocacy to address the challenges reshaping health care and to equip clinicians and institutions to lead meaningful change.

Prior to joining the ABIM Foundation, Jessica led the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s global work on workforce well-being, where she developed and scaled initiatives to address burnout and moral injury and helped health care organizations build cultures that support meaning, equity, safety, and high-quality care. Over more than 20 years, she has partnered with health systems, nonprofit organizations, and public agencies to advance quality improvement, organizational transformation, clinician leadership, and community-centered change. She is an invited speaker and author on medical professionalism, clinician well-being, organizational culture, and leadership.

Jessica is a member of the National Academy of Medicine Action Collaborative on Clinician Well-Being and Resilience and serves on the American Board of Medical Specialties Ethics and Professionalism Committee. She is an IHI Improvement Advisor and completed the Harvard Kennedy School Community Fellowship in Organizing and Leadership. She holds a Master of Public Health from Boston University.
